YOUTH MINISTRIES
Jr. Youth Group: For Grades 6-8. Every Wednesday from 7-9pm we meet in the youth room for an action-packed night of activities, interactive Bible lessons, snack and end our night off at the Rolph St. School gym with sports and games.
Sr. Youth Group: For Grades 9-12. Every Sunday from 7-9pm we meet in the downstairs hall and youth room. At this group, youth have a great time hanging out with friends, enjoying food, taking part in group activities and finding out how to grow closer to God.
Youth Discipleship Group: Discipleship Group is for all youth who have made a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. This group is all about youth growing into mature disciples of Jesus Christ through in-depth teaching, using gifts inserving the Church and our community, leadership training, mission trips, mentorship, group accountability and personal evangelism.

MISSIONS & EVANGELISM
For over a decade the Alpha course has been a major community outreach, seeing many people come to personal faith in Christ as well as lives rebuilt on God’s word. The puppet ministry has touched lives of young and old alike through stories and drama presenting life lessons based on Jesus and His teachings. Financial support aids missionaries working in other parts of the world working through Canada Baptist Ministries, Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, and The Sharing Way Projects among others. Local mission work and financial support includes Youth for Christ and The Upper Deck, Camp Oneida, Mathew House in Toronto, and Friendship House in Brantford. We have also provided financial support to those involved in short-term mission projects throughout the world.

PRAYER
Dedicated prayer warriors meet regularly to pray for the church body, both needs and celebrations. Each Wednesday our prayer group meets to pray. A telephone prayer chain promptly connects intercessors advising them of immediate needs.
|
WORSHIP
Believers worship God to bring glory to the name of Jesus Christ through music ministry, communion, congregational involvement in worship services, puppets, drama and other creative expressions of worship. We are so pleased to have several skilled worship teams that lead worship in various styles.
|
FELLOWSHIP
Social and spiritual community is created through sharing times of fellowship. From church celebration meals to potlucks, after service coffee times on Sundays to special receptions, including funeral lunches, a sense of friendship and family grows as we share time together. Meals are offered to families in need, bereavement or while recovering from surgery or illness.
|
DISCIPLESHIP
Spiritual growth seminars and small groups allow opportunities for discipleship for people of all ages, while developing mentoring relationships and encouraging people to grow in their Christian faith at whatever stage they find themselves. These groups are a mix of Bible study, fellowship, hands on community outreach, mission and prayer. Participants turn to each other for spiritual, emotional and social support.

CARE
Giving care, attention and prayer to the people who frequent our church is achieved practically by lending a helping hand when needed: moving, transportation, visiting nursing homes, hospital patients and shut ins. Young single moms are supported through provision of “care package” diaper bags distributed by community ministries. Seniors’ luncheons (with visits by children from the on-site weekday nursery) and trips for seniors provide times of fellowship and community.
|
ADMINISTRATION
The Administration Team maintains the church buildings and grounds, doing minor repairs, decorating, etc. by a work crew of (mostly) retired gentlemen, using the abundant skills that are readily available within our church family, with a lot of fun, fellowship and care.

DAYCARE
First Baptist Weekday Nursery is built on the foundation of Christian love and caring. It is a non-profit centre licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services, Province of Ontario.
